My stay at the hotel was truly enjoyable. The estuary-facing room, where my kids slept on the double sofa bed, was beautifully decorated and a great place to spend time during the day. However, the room had only one lounge chair, which was a bit limiting along with the desk chair.

The service was exceptional, with all staff members being lovely, charming, and very helpful. They even catered to our late-night salad request with a smile.

The hotel is located in a stunning area with wonderful views even in the rain. It's right next to Salcombe town center and within walking distance to Salcombe North Sands, making it a perfect choice for exploring the area.

The hotel had a beautiful view from the rooms, although they were smaller than expected. It was a classy place but not ideally located directly over the car park, leading to noise disturbance at night and in the morning from hotel activities and deliveries. The housekeeping did pay great attention to detail.

Service

The service was exceptional, from offering to park the car for us to the welcoming and friendly staff creating a relaxed atmosphere. However, the informality of the staff in assorted casual footwear may not appeal to everyone.

I had a mixed experience at this high-end hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean with a lovely coastal feel, boasting the comfiest bed ever. However, the price didn't quite match the overall value, and the bathroom was on the smaller side. The busy passage of boats, including a training ship, added a unique touch to the view from our balcony.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spotlessly clean with a lovely coastal feel and had the comfiest bed ever. The bathroom, although small, was very adequate with a functional shower over the bath.
Service
9.0
I cannot praise the service enough. The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay, going above and beyond to cater to our needs. Their attention to detail, like sourcing Vegan yogurt, truly impressed me.
Location
7.0
The location was wonderful, adding a brilliant accessory to the overall experience. Situated at the edge of Salcombe, the hotel offers a great setting, though slightly challenging to reach without a car.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its highs and lows. The maitre d'hote provided special attention, but the overall selection could be improved. However, the bottle of juice on every table was a nice touch.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers adequate facilities to enhance the stay. Although not extensive, the amenities provided were sufficient for a comfortable visit.
